I was a single mom of a 3 month old and 3 year old 17 years ago. I never dreamed of being in that position. I was the first person in my family to ever get a divorce. I was ashamed and embarrassed. I was, however blessed to have an abundant career that enabled me as a single mom to not just survive but truly thrive.
My clients that learned later of the mental strife I was going through said they never would have guessed. Thank God I had something to focus on other than my grief. I had two precious boys that relied on me.
The day of our independence reminds me of what an amazing country we live in that WE determine what we do for a living, who we serve, how we grow, what we learn, and what we EARN. The privilege of choice is something to celebrate.
I was able to not just survive but truly thrive on my own and even buy my own home in CA as a single mom, which is no small feat. I don’t say that to brag. I share that to show an example of the blessings this country has given me. Something I believe every one of us is capable of if we set our minds to it and take action.
No matter where you are in the world, my wish for you is to have the freedom to choose the life that will bring you financial independence and joy. I pray for you the power of creating your own destiny in the face of any adversity. I hope for you to take a gamble on yourself and NEVER stop learning or growing.
