How I Unleashed A Chapter Of Success When I Was At My Breaking Point!

Have you ever been in a pit you thought you’d never get out of? Maybe a pit in your career, your marriage, or just life in general?

I was 31 years old and studying to be a Stevens minister at church…basically a lay person trained to provide support to people during difficult times in life. Little did anyone know that my marriage was falling apart at home. 

In the program we learned that when we provided care for others, it was important that we didn’t get down in “the pit” with them. That we provided a hand out of the pit, but not to get down there with our care receiver.

By the time I graduated from the program, my husband had left, I was a single mama with a 3 year old and a 3 month old and an angel in the form of my own Stevens minister, my dear mentor Linda came into my life. I needed my OWN caregiver.

Linda came over to my house for 6 months straight once a week and helped me through one of the most difficult times in life. At times I couldn’t get out of bed. But I HAD to because of my two beautiful boys who needed me to be the best me I could be. 

My friend Andrea Crum visited our Wealth Minded Mastermind this past week and shared such an amazing message that brought this “PIT” analogy back to memory. 

She shared that her idea of “the pit” was just a PLACE IN TIME. I love that. How powerful when you think about it that way…this difficult time is just a moment, a place in time, and this too shall pass.
