My first recollection was when I was probably 5 or 6 and walked out of the store with a pack of life savers. I told my mom it was an “accident” but was it?
I cheated on a test once in 6th grade. The funny thing was I was a straight A student but hadn’t studied quite enough to get 100% so wrote some answers on my hand. I got caught that time too!
I kissed my ex-boyfriend and had to confess to my current boyfriend. I can’t get away with anything as I feel too damn guilty!
The worst betrayal was when my husband was unfaithful with a very good friend. Guess what though, I had not held my marriage vows sacred either. In all the little ways that count
I was unfaithful by not putting his needs first, by complaining about our life and yet not doing my part to change our circumstance, by not learning his love language soon enough and only showing love the way I felt loved, by not allowing him to be the leader in our home…it was MY way or the HIGHWAY!
When I went through my separation and divorce it could have defined the rest of my life. Instead, I took action and figured out what my part of our breakdown was. I had a HUGE PART! I went to counseling for over 3 years (and still have a spot check appointment as things pop up…I LOVE counseling!)
If you haven’t let go of a past hurt where you wronged someone or someone wronged you, what are you waiting for? It’s only holding back the rest of your life!
Wherever you are in life, if your situation is not the ideal one you pictured when you were dreaming about your future self, make a choice to change it today! I would love to help you on that journey.
I had an opportunity to interview an amazing young man for my Corporate to Entrepreneur series, Mr. Jeff Fenster. Jeff has proven himself as an entrepreneurial innovator. As a serial entrepreneur, Jeff’s been recognized nationally for his business creations ranging from a quick serve Food Chain, Payroll & HR company, Digital Marketing Agency and Construction company among others. In addition, Jeff was named a top 100 Entrepreneur in America under the age of 35 by Empact
– He started in Corporate and was the top sales rep in the country in a short 6 months and asked for his bonus early; was told “sorry kid you’ll have to wait until July” and realized he was trapped. He could control the work he put in, but not the reward he would get as a result of it.
– He didn’t know anything about restaurants but he applied his business acumen to an industry that 90% fail…he didn’t know what he didn’t know. He used the lack of experience as a strength.
Enjoy my interview with Jeff!
